# Understanding mCAKE

## Converting CAKE into mCAKE

* Users can convert CAKE into mCAKE at 1:1 ratio on Cakepie via BNB Chain.
* When users convert CAKE into mCAKE, Cakepie locks all the converted CAKE on PancakeSwap as veCAKE, and this process is irreversible. (Users will be able to swap mCAKE to CAKE via DEX but their converted CAKE will continue to be locked as veCAKE).

## Staking mCAKE

* Users can stake mCAKE on Cakepie to earn CKP and CAKE rewards.
