# Cost-Effective Voting Power for PancakeSwap users

PancakeSwap voters must buy and lock CAKE tokens as veCAKE for 4 years to get maximum voting power, which is not a cost-effective way to control governance power.

## Cakepie offers cost-effective voting power for PancakeSwap voters:  <a href="#penpie-offers-cost-effective-voting-power-for-pendle-finance-voters" id="penpie-offers-cost-effective-voting-power-for-pendle-finance-voters"></a>

Users can lock their CKP tokens as vlCKP to control the voting power that Cakepie has accumulated through its veCAKE holdings. Each CAKE token that Cakepie locks on PancakeSwap is locked for 4 years. This means that all of Cakepie's veCAKE own the highest benefits on PancakeSwap. PancakeSwap voters can buy voting power cost-effectively by acquiring and locking CKP tokens. Users can lock CKP as Vote-Locked CKP on Cakepie, enabling efficient participation in PancakeSwap's governance while also allows earning boosted rewards with a significantly shorter lockup period of only 60 days.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cakepiexyz.io/cakepie-maximizing-benefits/cost-effective-voting-power-for-pancakeswap-users.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
